What is included?

The Suntura 400 Dual Axis Solar Tracker comes with everything required for a fully operational solar tracker. Four 100 Watt monocrystalline solar panels are included.

Four 100 Watt Monocrystalline CE Certified Solar Panels

Solar Panel Mounting Arms

The four 100 Watt solar panels bolt to the two solar panel mounting arms. The solar panel mounting arms bolt to the main tracker mount providing a stable and secure rack fixture for the solar panels. The solar panel mounting arms are both 88 inches (487.5 cm) long.

Main Tracker Mount

The main tracker mount holds two linear actuators and this is what moves the the solar panels throughout the day. The main tracker mount is constructed from 6061 aluminum and stainless steel fasteners. The linear actuators are each rated to move 225 pounds (102 kg’s) of weight and each linear actuator can hold up to 450 pounds (204 kg’s) of static weight. The main tracker mount is a very strong and rugged design.

Sun Tracker Board

One water-tight, epoxy sealed electronic sun tracker board ("the brain"). The brain is a solid state electronic control board which utilizes proprietary software to track the sun with sub-degree accuracy and precision. The brain also has three manual switches mounted on it (see pictures). Two of the switches allow you to manually move the tracker north/south/east/west and the third switch turns the tracker on/off. Manual maneuvering of a tracker is very convenient when you want to access the solar panels for cleaning or to position the solar panels parallel to the ground during extremely high winds.

Additionally, all the necessary fuses and UV/outdoor rated wire are included for all of the electronics.

Photo-Sensor

One water-tight, epoxy sealed photo-sensor (“the eye”). The eye mounts onto your tracking system and consists of four photo-sensors. The four photo-sensors collect light from the sun and the brain uses this information to move the two linear actuators to track the sun.

Stainless Steel Fasteners

The stainless steel fasteners necessary for assembling the Suntura Solar Tracker are included.

Additional Information

The Suntura 400 Dual Axis Solar Tracker can be used directly on 12 volt or 24 volt systems. If you plan on using the Suntura Solar Tracker on a grid tie system, we can supply you with a 12 volt power supply which can be plugged into the grid (110 AC or 220 AC). This power supply can be used to power the tracker for grid tie applications.

The Suntura 400 is designed to mount to a 6 in x 8 in x 8 ft wooden post.
(Wooden post and concrete are not included with your purchase. Both items can be purchased at any hardware store.)
