The WindyNation Linear Actuator is a powerful and reliable linear actuator for small to medium loads. We designed our linear actuator with pre-lubricated metal gears, pre-installed limit switches, and with an IP65 water resistance rating.
- Actuator Maximum Dynamic Load = 225 lbs (900N), Maximum Static Load = 600 lbs, Maximum current draw = 4.6 Amps
- IP65 rated (suitable for outdoor use)
- Exterior material is 6061 Aluminum (powder coated black)

Bought a 16" in 2004 to open the roof on a custom-made astronomical observatory. I operate it remotely and command it by PC and Arduino relays. The actuator is sheltered from the elements but has to put up with temperature extremes from 0-100F. Bulletproof. When starting it strains a bit due to the weight of the roof/lid, but it has never bogged down or failed. I may buy another one to have on hand as a spare, but I doubt I'll ever need it.

I’m not entirely certain what these actuators are designed for, I get the impression it has something to do with alternative energy. My need was to restore service to the Air Grabber induction system on my 1970 Plymouth GTX and it works great for that. Since the original vacuum actuators are not currently available your company might consider advertising these in MoPar Collectors Guide as an alternative for anyone else trying to restore functionality to their Air Grabber. It may not be factory correct but at least it’s a means until replacement vacuum actuators are available.
